These are my totally radical insane and crazy Unicorn Wars pairings. (All rarepairs, crosspost w Tumblr)

Padre x Azulin- comfort ship, Azulin probably wouldn't be such a bastard if El Padre were around more (yes this ship is slightly cursed due to the nature of their dynamic but GODANGIT PSYCHOLOGY and therapy!!!)

Coco x Gordi x Coco's wife- Gordi is kinda the romantic third wheel of the relationship and helps out with raising the kids. They protect each other

PomPom x the 3 generals-
Ok, this one I REALLY want to get into. I think the reason why PomPom joined the military was for his own gain, to sort of get to the point where he could live the same lavish lifestyle that his higher-ups have which is why he takes his job so seriously and is such a bootlicker. He wants to get promoted! (Plus when after he killed them for Azulin he looked pretty upset, safe to say that they were probably close).

With this headcanon in mind, the story of this ship is that he got into a relationship with them to get extra benefits, like extra money, a fancier uniform (his silly little hat), and nice food compared to all the soldiers. I'd like to think that this arrangement was a formal agreement as well, like an extra contract with the proposal from PomPom himself for this (otherwise it would be MUCH MORE problematic, Consent is key folks!).

Pompom x Fluffy is a lot like Daisy and Gatsby, after work they like to go to fancy restaurants, visit the theater, and stay at high-class hotels together.

Pompom x Otto is a lot more calm, they just like to spend time with each other, talk, and maybe go out and dance together.

Pompom x Hocios is PURELY shallow. Hocicos knows why Pompom is there and is not interested in getting closer to him. He just wants a stress reliever from military work. So physical stuff is VERY prominent in their relationship, whether that is cuddling, squeezing, or doing the late-night boinking.

Liking fictional characters

Idk, but isn't it kinda flowery to like a fictional character?
Characters are a product of people for people, meaning it is art.
What if you fell in love with a painting? Wouldn't that be needlessly pretty?

There's this thing, a word I want to use for the beautiful and unnecessary but I don't know what it is, the only thing closest to it is "purple writing". I'll call this emotional, unexplainable, and almost spiritual appeal "lavender" or "ashy rose", inspired by that phrase and both pretty colors in their own right. Isn't liking a character "rosy"?

liking someone's art is also kind of like connecting with the artist, they put some of their mind, their BEING into that art so looking at such art is like looking into someone's soul. It's the human connection to the third degree (guess that's why ai art is so weird).

And isn't it nice when art exceeds its intended purpose and brings such great joy to others that they become obsessed? I know I am. And I'm glad about it.

To feel the bliss of complex narrative creation. Something I can love and think about. The best thing about it is that these objects of creativity and desire last! If a character is lost to time another can take place similar to it.

In that way They are immortal. angelic almost. Precious as a diamond. although there is a lot of diamond it can be very pretty and useful. plush it lasts a long time. A different kind of grand value than glass and fleeting life (wonderful all the same).

Infinite potential, beauty, and endless love. I believe I have found pure non-enforced ecstasy in this, fully embracing the things I love, engaging in media related to it, or finding things that remind me of it. That's pretty sweet!
